Boston Area SharePoint User Group (BASPUG)
Registration is now open for the second installment of the Boston Area SharePoint User Group on June 9th. If you're not familiar, this user group is almost brand new, the first event was May12th and it was a huge success. To add to the buzz, it happened on a big day in the SharePoint world, the day SharePoint 2010 was released to much fan fare.
So, a new, heavily promoted user group, on a big day, with an amazing speaker and an amazing topic (an overview of 2010) how can they compete with this for the second event? Well, you can't, but you can look at other factors in judging the success of future events, like the organization, it was top notch. The venue, ideal, comfortable and allowed for quality networking. With that said, if you have anything to do with SharePoint, go.
The next meeting will focus on PowerShell. If you're a SharePoint admin and not yet familiar, this would be a great introduction, because, stsadmin is essentially depreciated in SharePoint 2010 meaning no new love will be given to it and for the next big version of SP (2014?), signs point to PowerShell only.
If you're interested in joining me and tons of others professionals sharing your same day to day, Geoff Varosky has published the following details...
